YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! The Gift of Warmth program was established in 2008 by local business leaders to support the United Way’s Emergency Heating Fund. Each year, funds are used to provide emergency fuel/utility assistance and emergency furnace repair as well as meeting other emergent needs to keep people of all ages safe and warm. Last year, more than 160 families in Lackawanna and Wayne Counties received the Gift of Warmth and overcame emergency situations during the coldest months of winter. Your support of the Gift of Warmth program makes an enormous difference for these families. In fact, the youngest recipient of the Gift of Warmth was a newborn infant and the oldest was 89 years old last year. When you Give the Gift of Warmth, you make a direct impact on the lives of families in need in our community.
IT’S EASY TO HELP! For your donation of $500, you will receive 100 cards (or $5 per card) to insert into your corporate holiday greeting to clients, vendors, etc. Cards are also available that have been specially worded for your personal gift-giving use during the holiday season.
