The United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties has partnered with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL) to provide children in our region this amazing opportunity to succeed.
Dolly Parton launched the Imagination Library in 1995 to give children from all walks of life a chance to develop a love of reading and provide a foundation for literary skills that set children up for future success. (Since that time this program has delivered more than 90 million books to children in 2,000 communities worldwide.) With funding from local organizations and individuals, the Imagination Library is able to provide an age-appropriate book each month to every registered child free of charge.
With your help…Children ages birth to five who register with the program will receive a FREE, age appropriate book mailed directly to them each month.
