Over the past nine years, the United Way has distributed more than $400,000 to dozens community and human service organizations providing critical programs and services in Wayne County.

Applicants must be non-profit, 501 (c) 3 health and human service organizations providing in-person, direct services in Wayne County. Funding may be requested for existing programs, new programs or initiatives, program expansion and capital items. Supplies that are an integral part of service delivery will also be considered. The grants available range from $500 to $5,000.

Please note than an organization which received funds in 2014 must fill out a Program Report form and submit it to the United Way, even if the organization is not applying for a grant in this funding cycle. The form can be found on the last page of the Application Packet.

The monies were raised during the last United Way campaign by individuals and businesses who specifically wanted to support services for Wayne County residents. For more information, please contact Angela Bassani at (570) 343-1267 x222 or email her.

Deadline for submitting an application is noon on July 31, 2015.
