The United Way of Lackawanna County has partnered with the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to obtain a grant from the Blue Ribbon Foundation to support community education on end-of-life issues.

Utilizing the United Way’s well established workplace network, corporate site visits will target select employee groups throughout Lackawanna and Wayne counties. Representatives from the medical, legal, spiritual and social services communities provide instruction on advanced life care planning and advanced care directives. A toolkit—entitled On Your Own Terms— is the central piece of the employee group sessions.
