Dear Friend,

 

Thanks to the on-going support of generous people like you, the United Way of Lackawanna and Wayne Counties is at work to advance the common good for all in our region. Our United Way is the force behind organizing and mobilizing people and organizations throughout our region to inspire hope, create opportunities and truly get at the heart of the community conditions affecting us all. We all win when a child succeeds, or when families are self-sufficient and financially stable and when people of all ages enjoy good health and well-being.

 

Our theme--LIVE UNITED-- is an invitation to everyone to be part of this exciting change. Together, united as one in this most worthwhile cause to positively impact the lives of all in our community, we are far stronger than we could ever be alone. In short, LIVE UNITED is about the power of unity.

 

We have sharpened our focus and strengthened our resolve to reach out a hand to everyone--from children and families to seniors and people with special needs. Because, when we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. 

 

Though these are indeed challenging times, they are also filled with great hope and the promise that by joining together, by truly LIVING UNITED, we are the force that overcomes obstacles, creates change and inspires hope for all.
